Chicken Coop Door Ramp

The height of the chicken coop door from the ground outside doesn’t matter, as long as chickens have a ramp to access doors that are 18-24+ inches high. the reason the chicken pop hole door isn’t at floor level is because most chicken coops need bedding.. A chicken coop ramp is found in almost every coop design. after a few minutes of looking at chicken coop designs, you will notice that a large percentage of chicken coops are elevated a few feet off the ground. from large coops to small ones, ancient designs to cutting-edge models, it’s extremely common to place a chicken coop a few feet above the ground.. Your ramp shouldn’t have any gaps between the coop ledge and the ramp itself because your chicken can injure themselves if they step in it, and the ramp should reach all of the way to the ground. a small ramp leading up to the door of the coop will reduce the stress on your chickens because they won’t have to jump down each time they want.
